The Toronto Citizen In Conversation with Arthur Potts
This short interview is part of a video series where The Toronto Citizen team members will meet and have a conversation with individuals who’s names come up in our conversations in recent times for various reasons. They can be political, business or social/cultural leaders etc. This is the first video of this series where we went to the office of Mr. Arthur Potts, MPP candidate (for re-election) for Beaches East York at the 2018 Ontario provincial election.
Mr. Potts attended the University of Toronto and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political philosophy. He then obtained a master’s degree in industrial relations from Queen’s University. In the 1994 municipal election he ran for councillor on Toronto City Council in Ward 8 (Riverdale) but lost to incumbent Peter Tabuns. In the 2014 Ontario election, he was elected in the riding of Beaches—East York in a tight race, beating incumbent New Democrat Michael Prue.
