Drive for success defies extreme weather – LEAD Networking Lunch

LEAD – Leadership for Economical Actions & Development, a Toronto based non profit organizations dedicated to deliver programs that will help member of our communities to find employment and/or entrepreneurial breakthrough, hosted a networking event (Meet & Greet; and FREE Lunch with corporate executives) this Sunday afternoon, April 15th 2018. Despite Torontonians experiencing one of the worst April weather, with freezing rain and icy road conditions, a small number of participants showed up, along with some members from LEAD’s pool of mentors.

We sent e-mail notifications and newspaper announcements advising people to stay home in this bad weather. We promised to host another event very soon to make up for today. Yet, something was bugging me, what if someone still decides to show up because they already planned the day accordingly. That is why my team and I came here on time. We were determined that not one soul should go back without our service just because we, the organizers, were not able to come due to bad weather; and look what happened! People did show up braving this freezing rain!” said an astonished Rizuan Rahman, President of LEAD.

Whether you are unemployed or looking for a better job, you must come and network with people who can, and are willing, to help” said Masum Chowdhury, a member of the pool of mentors.

Zubeir Abdullah, the IT Lead of the organization informed that LEAD will host another networking event very soon to make sure that individuals who could not come due to bad weather do not end up missing the opportunity.
