Mohsin Bhuiyan, president of Greater Dhaka Association, Toronto and Financial Advisor of Mint One Financial Inc. has indicated that he is seriously considering the possibility of running to be the Councillor from Ward 36 of the City of Toronto. The city council election is projected to be held in October 2018.
A dedicated social worker and leader of one of the most influential social organizations of the Bangladeshi-Canadian community, Mr. Bhuiyan has been at the forefront of predictions to be a formidable candidate. “Mohsin is honest, dedicated and passionate to help the people in need. He has all the necessary qualities to be a good Councillor for the people of Ward 36” said Mak Azad, a resident of Ward 36 and the President of the OTIMLDM Inc. in a Meet & Greet event hosted by Mr. Bhuiyan at Mizan Complex auditorium, an overwhelming number of community leaders of the Bangladeshi-Canadian community have pledged their support should Mr. Bhuiyan decides to run for the office.
Political activists of the area have long predicted Mr. Bhuiyan joining the municipal politics, however, an official declaration from Mr. Bhuiyan may only come once the election is called.
